Water jet cuts
Precise waterjet cuts using the pure water process or as an abrasive cut for particularly thick and hard materials
Precise waterjet cuts for a wide variety of contours and thick materials
The punching contour of thicker materials in particular is very concave, which is why we are able to produce them with tight tolerances using water jet cutting.
Various machines with up to 125 HP are available, depending on the material and dimensions of the parts to be cut.
Using the pure water process, we cut with a pressure of up to 6,000 bar and a nozzle diameter of 0.12 – 0.25 mm. This performance enables us to process elastomers and plastics with thicknesses of >100 mm.
In contrast to the punching process, large-volume seals and blanks with a maximum dimension of around 2,000 x 2,000 mm can also be produced.
If very hard and particularly thick elastomers, high-pressure sealing materials and plastics are to be cut, we can also offer this using the abrasive process. In this case, a specific, very fine sand is added to the water jet in the cutting head.
In both processes, the cutting speed is very important for the actual cutting quality of the finished part. The faster and cheaper the water jet is controlled, the greater the scoring. If a clean and rather fine cut quality is desired, the speed is reduced accordingly.
Whether prototypes, one-offs, small batches or series production, the possibilities with this process are many and varied.
