It all began in the early 1920s with Mr. Christoph Siegel, the first generation and practically the cornerstone of all further developments. He opened a specialized trade for iron and metal goods as well as household and kitchen appliances in Gelnhausen.

In the 1940s, the actual founder, Mr. Richard Siegel, started the production of rubber soles and heels for the shoe industry in the municipality of Sinntal in the Hessian Main-Kinzig district (Rhine-Main area) in the 2nd generation with a single-lever manual punching press.

Within a short period of time, the well-known name “Risi” was created and the company “Richard Siegel – Spezial Fabrikation für stanztechnische Gummischeiben und Ringe” was founded.

In the 1950s, the company moved to a larger production facility in Altenhaßlauer Straße in Gelnhausen under the name “Richard Siegel – Spezialfabrik stanztechnischer Gummiteile”. Here the machinery was expanded and the production of various stamped parts was started. The main customers at that time came from the sanitary and electrical industries. With the help of ambitious employees, the staff was further increased and the company began to specialize in certain seals at an early stage. Among other things, a small department was created that invented the single-cut ring (formerly known as the onion ring) – the multiple use of a single conduit ring, stamped with different diameters for cable glands and bushings.

Over the years, the company continued to grow and developed into a medium-sized enterprise in the region. New industries were supplied and the production program was continuously expanded.

In 1986, the son and successor, Mr. Christoph Siegel, now in the 3rd generation, took over and founded “Siegel Gummi- und Kunststoffwarenfabrik GmbH”. With the later production of valve flaps for the automotive industry, the name became increasingly well-known and the customer base grew steadily. The company then focused more and more on the production of stamped parts and seals for the electrical industry, mechanical engineering and the sanitary industry.

At the beginning of 2017, we moved to our production facility in Linsengericht-Altenhaßlau, where we are still active today and constantly strive to meet the requirements of our customers. Certified to ISO9001:2015, we are now “Siegel Dichtungen Gummi- und Kunststofffabrik GmbH”, your partner for stamped parts, flat gaskets, sealing rings, cut-in rings, molded articles, O-rings and profiles of all kinds.
